petone 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2004 Will either of those work with a 4 cyl E30? Those prices aren't too bad really, compared to what some place want for a specialist short shift kit
Gus 5 Report post Posted August 30, 2004 yeah should do...dont see why not....just bend the gear selector rod.....the UUC one is a "modified" bmw lever (ie is bent) with better bushings...very similar and more than double the price...not worth it in my opinion
Guest Spargo Report post Posted August 30, 2004 How much for the Z3 1.9 G-man? That's supposed to be the trick one.

Gus 5 Report post Posted August 30, 2004 the z3 1.9 is gay.....ive got pics of them all and its pretty much the same as the e30 one tim the only thing i dont like about yours is that it artificially increases the length of the lever below the fulcrum....a proper lever IS longer

Marcel 323Ti 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2004 I've one from the BMW Z8 in my 323Ti Compact. As far as i know it's only suitable for this two cars. (It's 1,8 cm shorter) By the way, i cut the original one a few cm's shorter and it works good as well. I payed 64,- euro for the Z8 one at the local BMW dealer. Gus 5 Report post Posted August 31, 2004 ...or just buy a short shift lever...they not that expensive...not to mention a cleaner look....when your looking at your shift lever under your car depends on how strong it would be....meh anyway....i cant weld
