where is the water going

my 97 3 is losing water about a liter every 5 - 10 ks but no leaks can be found no water on the ground or anywhere thanks for the one thing that it might be bmrmad

97 E36 316 I M43 ?? I'm assuming... bad word

Have a look at the back of the head. Theres a plastic water outlet there. It'll probably be leaking slightly and evaporating on the block or the exhaust. If you cant find the leak, pressure test it or get professional help before it all turns to custard on you.

BTW..they also leak in the same area with the headgasket too, at the back, just below the same plastic fitting
