jjs 64 Report post Posted November 17, 2008 The black rubber trimming around the driver and passenger side windows of my E36 is starting to crumble. Is this a common problem with E36's? Or has mine just been parked in the sun for too long? Not sure whether to bother replacing if it will be a mammoth job. Does anyone have any trim they are wanting to sell? Cheers for your thoughts / help!
stylish_division 0 Report post Posted November 17, 2008 (edited) what year? my 98 and 97 had no problem...so might be sun damage. although the rubber around door handle was crumbling so i just scraped all of it off, looks cleaner. I do see some people scrape the black rubber off on the window trim... chrome trim under it i think? Edited November 17, 2008 by gdm.yo
my_e36 43 Report post Posted November 25, 2008 Do you mean the rubber bits around the back window of a coupe? There hasn't been a e36 Coupe I seen that doesn't crumble. The $tealers will have them. Around $135 for a set of 4 (2 pc on each side) when I change mine few years ago.
