E36 2 Report post Posted November 20, 2008 http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/S...n-188568088.htm I remember reading an article on this car. The guy wanted an E36 Supertourer but decided to build this instead. A lot of kit for $50k. Bet it would have cost him a lot more than that to build it. Shame it has a Nissan motor. crazyarab 6 Report post Posted November 20, 2008 That "Nissan" motor is a 425hp GT-R engine....
CamB 48 Report post Posted November 20, 2008 Yeah I think that Nissan motor might have a better racing pedigree than any of the production engine options in an E36.
E36 2 Report post Posted November 20, 2008 True the Nissan engine has some go. But it would be ineligible for the BMW Series, ineligible for classic racing. What's left - sport saloons and an endurance race or two? Personally I would rather pay $100k for a genuine one.
antony 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2008 I've seen this car, never realised it had a RB26 in it. Might have to go back for another look.

Wouldn't be too hard to repower with a series eligible engine (realistically would have to be an S50). Would cost a few bucks though.
joshnz 2 Report post Posted November 20, 2008 This was in Performance Car mag a while back. That engine bay is insane.
bravo 35 Report post Posted November 20, 2008 Take it for a thrash at the Waiuku Flying 50 this weekend. Seems they've opened entry up to any european car of any year (according to classic car mag). Targa?
