Realisticly, you get make whatever you want fit into an E30.

The key word being MAKE. and to make (unless you are an awesome fabricator or know someone etc) will be expensive.

rb20det conversion's a bad idea imo. they're very heavy motors and are only two litre. by the time you mess round with intercooler and piping etc, you may as well do an LS1 conversion for similar coin. more power, similar/lower weight, and a sound that craps on any skyline engine, particularly when coming from a beemer. t56 would be awesome too. B)

And locals always ask me why I didnt just RB mine haha <_< You will find an RB in just about any kinda Japa vehicle round here Danny. Even a 1JZ has to be better and they are pretty cheap now.. sound cooler too haha B)

There was a guy in the states who was puting a RB26DETT into an E30, but his build stalled a long time back... it was going to cost an awful lot of dough, and a lot cutting- the firewall, etc...

hey dude save ur self a lot of time and money put in a SR20det. i hav built a e30 with a S2 RB25det, now building a e30 RB32det but if you realy want to go ahead with ur mission i have engine and trans mounts made if u wanted to copy them.could post sum pic's also if ur interested? good-luck!!
