32mm spanner (or 1.1/4"), L/H thread

Give the spanner a "twack" with a hammer to break it loose

DONT forget - its L/H thread

Go to a local bike shop and pick up a 32mm headset wrench. They are about 2mm thick and fit easy in between the fan and water pump pulley.

Most of the time putting the wrench over the bolt at 2 o'clock (facing towards the front of the car) and giving it a whack clockwise with a mallet will break it free. You may need to grab the V- belt across the alternator and where it goes down to teh crank again and tighten it to stop the waterpump pulley from moving.

Do you need to remove the Viscous part ?

because you can just undo the 8 10mm bolts holding the plastic fan piece on if you don't need to remove the entire fan assembly.
