Rev counter

Recommended Posts

hey, somethings up with my rev gauge...

when i red line my car, it is only going upto 4500 revs. its not the engine, thats going as it should, it just appears to be at 4500 instead of it showing it wind right out to the ACTUAL red line.. hope that makes sense..

any help?

cheers

Does the counter run off the coil?

No. There is a plug with 3 wires coming out of the ECU ( seperate from the large plug in the engine harness) 2 of the wires are outputs for the gauge cluster, 1 for the fuel economy gauge & the other for the rev counter.
