Speed-bump clunk...

Recommended Posts

Here's one that may or may not have been asked before...

Whenever I'm driving around the CBD  of the roaring metropolis that is the

town of blenheim , I can hear this rattling /clunking sound from front passenger side ESPECIALLY driving over those feckin' speed bumps ....Weird thing is that ONLY i can hear it!!

Passengers just look at me blankly when I start raving about it....thing is when I put air in the tires the other day(32 front and rear) IT JUST GOT LOUDER :banghead:

One of you erudite bimmerphiles  out there will be smirking reading this,so c'mon and put this newbie out of his misery

front inner ball joint worn, or outer.

jack up the front end and wiggle the sh*t out of your control arms find out what is loose i'm pretty sure it'll be the inner balljoint. $100 for a whole new control arm with both ball joints (not incl labour) do both sides and you'll be sweet for another 15 years :thumb:
