sadida20 0 Report post Posted March 12, 2009 Hi Guys Went to take the car to work this morning. I have not driven it for over a week. I changed the fuses on the weekend and also recharged the battery last night this morning when i started the car it started fine, BUT the clutch went ALL the way in very easily. It was like it had no pressure... any thoughts?

Did it still disengage (ie, can you still drive)? Still have fluid in the reservoir?

BM WORLD 1283 Report post Posted March 12, 2009 clutch slave cylinder leaked all the fluid out
CamB 48 Report post Posted March 12, 2009 clutch slave cylinder leaked all the fluid out And if this is the case, putting more fluid in isn't going to help! It does sound like either the clutch master or slave has failed, or the line.

OK filled up the fluid and the level does not move But still clutch goes all the way in?
CamB 48 Report post Posted March 14, 2009 OK filled up the fluid and the level does not move But still clutch goes all the way in? It's not the windscreen washer fluid - you need to do more than fill it up. It will need bleeding - a two person job. Since you don't already know this, I am a little hesitant telling you how to do it, since I think there is a problem with either the clutch master or slave, and trying to bleed a faulty hydraulic system is doomed to failure (and its hard enough the first time you do it when everything works well).
