Anyone rebuilt a Getrag 265? Noisy Layshaft Bearing

Re Getrag 265/5 Manual Trannie.

Anyone rebuilt these? Bentley manual says I have to pull apart from the front.

All I have is noisy layshaft bearing, the rear (outboard) one. Can I get to it by

taking the rear case off only. I can't see anything in Bently that says otherwise.

Synchros are good, The only noise is in 5th.

I'm in Wellington.
