pureboiracer 0 Report post Posted May 8, 2009 Heya guys. I have got to pull the motor out of my e46. a few bits of work to do on it. it is a N42 motor i think. (the facelift 2l 4cyl motor) and auto trans. has anyone had one of these out? are there any bits that will require a special tool to do or any bits that i wont be able to get done in my driveway? I work at a ford dealership and i know the relitively new fords and mazda can be quite complicated to pull apart. and quite often need special tools, I just dont want to get half way through it and realise it cant be done outside a dealership. many thanks oli

pureboiracer 0 Report post Posted May 8, 2009 because it leaks oil like a austin. and it is coming out of funny places like crank seals and so forth. so i figured it would be easier to do with motor out
