E46 M3 Cluster.. will it work on a non-M3?

You guy's have probably seen this on Trademe: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=218178819 but will ti work on a "standard" E46? The speedo has a higher range and there's an oil temp guage where the economy guage is on the std version.

Also, would the odometer swap from the existing cluster into this one??

This has not been successfully done yet. People have plugged these in, and here are the results:

WORKS 100%:

- MPH

- RPM

- OnBoard Computer Functions

- Lights

- Indicators

- Engine Temp.

- Gas Info

DOES NOT WORK:

- Oil Temp. Needle

- RPM Warmup Lights

- Little orange ODO Tamper Light comes on...which is bad

This is a DIRECT PLUG AND PLAY, but will not work 100%. You be the judge...

Safe Alternatives:

- Bimmian M3-Style Gauges

- UUC Whiteface Gauges

- Silver Gauge Rings w/ Red Sharpie'd Needles

I was looking at this myself, then found that on e46 fanatics

[hybrid 1039]

The IKE is the bridging point between the KBUS and IBUS. It holds a lot of car specific data that needs to be recoded into the vehicle. A lot of work need to be done to have it 'bedded' into your vehicle.
