New door handle piece required.

Recommended Posts

The other day i went to open my rear left door and heard a clink sound and found the door handle opening and closing ok but doing nothing. (outside door handle).

Today i got around to finding out, Taking off the inner door panel and taking out the door handle i found the cause.

I have put a pic of the offending piece i need. Not sure if this is a common fault or not ut anyway i need a new piece.

I would prefer not to to have to get the whole door unit handle just this piece and the piece it was connected to would be great. Anybody that has had this problem and knows what the piece is in the pic will know what i mean.

Also was thinking of maybe doing all the outer door handle surrounds (rubber ones) What sort of price would i be looking at.

$40 for door handle (common problem). Buy yourself new surrounds from BMW about $13 each .Secondhand tend to be brittle.
