Wervie67 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2009 Trying to remove the stock stereo in my 1987 320i. any tricks? the stereos i have done before (all japanese) simply side out (with a fair tug) or you have to take the panel off and unscrew. but this seems like it is going to snap the panel if i pull any harder! stereo is unbranded, and is stock bmw, (security coded) cheers in advance! (will post photos soon)

Wervie67 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2009 yea, cheers man! wouldn't have thought of an allen key?!?!? whats the deal with the amp do you know? is there another seperate amp somewhere in the car to run the speakers? because i seem to have a lack of wires for both front and rear speakers, let alone constant, acc, ground, etc. also does anyone have access to a wiring diagram? would save time trying to figure out which wire is which when installing the new stereo! Thanks!
