How to get window regulator out

As above I've got a dud motor I think but just cant figure how to detach the regulator where it bolts to the window rail.

Its a rear window & is fully up at present.

Is it possible to remove the motor without pulling the whole regulator.

Hey Mark... I've had a look through my back catalogue of TBMW mags and can't find anything useful. All I can find is this blurb from the Haynes manual. Might be of use... generally the Hayne's isn't though!

You're right haha

The catch is that it looks like I need to lower the window enough to access the 2 offending bolts but thats a dilemma since the window is fully up & not working.

One of those annoyingly simple things-when you know how to do it.

Tricky problem eh .... The other day I just tested my rear windows to see if they still worked. Took a few goes before they eventually went down. Have you tried swapping a few switches around to see if that fixes it?

Also, a bit of Dryglide lubricant sprayed into the felt channels  on the window can help get a stuck window working again.

Sorry I can't be of more help... it's bloody annoying when you can't figure out how to do something that appears to be so simple.

Yeah its crazy!!

Its definitely the motor or at least connections thereof.Can hear a click when I hit the button so getting power ok.

Did the switch swap but no joy there.

Oh well god help me with the trans swap if I cant even get the bloody window fixed
