Shipping companies

Recommended Posts

So I am trying to sell these BBS CH' mags and a few members have expressed interest but are wanting to know shipping costs. I got on the phone today and rang a few companies and it all seems awfully expensive!?

Looking for shipping costs to Aussie / Auckland (from Christchurch) at this stage.

UPS quoted me over $800 to ship to Aus!

Does anyone have any recommendations for reasonably priced shipping companies?

Cheers

I have had good experience with Mainfreight.

Got a sway bar sent up to Aucks from Invercargil, cost $30 from memory. Very awkward shape, I was pleased with that price.

I just rang up Transport Logistics and they quoted me $60 to ship all four mags to Auckland... surely you can't get cheaper than that!

Aussie is still a mystery though.

Aussie is still a mystery though.

They didnt want the work mate.

I used to do that all the time when I was 'in the industry'. Personal effects are a nightmare to handle so you price yourself out of the market. If your still taken up on it, at least you make a fortune from it, but otherwise I think you'll find they just arent interested.

Can they not get BBS CH's in Aussie ?

Seems like I have the only used 5x120 set for sale in Australasia

Either that, or it's my asking price.

I spent about a year hoping a set of second hand 8.5 X 17, 38-41 offset would come up, I also checked out NZ & Oz for a new set. To get a full set of 8.5's you either buy 2 new sets and split or import from the states. gave up in March settled for a set of 8".

BUGGER

Yeh man, they were definitely not easy to find. I took about a year looking for these and snapped them up the second the were up especially considering they popped up in Christchurch.

Still very reluctant to sell, but if it's going to a bimmersport member then at least they will be appreciated and put to good use :)
