Oxygen sensor..is it required

Recommended Posts

Hi..doing a conversion for a friends E21 323i to M20B25 motronic. The loom we are using came from SAF assembled 1989 325i with what looks like motronic 1.3 ( 3 rows on the ECU connector and ECU number ending in 173 ). On the front part of the loom there is the round connector for the 02 sensor but there was nothing connected. I am assuming that that its not needed due to the fact it has no CAT....?
