The bentley doesnt help at all as the one used in that differs from mine.

Bugger, I had the exact same unit in an old E36 and pulled it out a while ago. I even had the metal keys to release the clamps like Brent said. Unfortunately we just had an inorganic collection and I threw it out! I am sure the keys went with it.

Not much help sorry, but I will have a look around tomorrow so see if I was clever and actually kept the keys.

Brent - you mean like stanley knife down the sides of the headunit base? If I can't get it out over the next week, i'll pop round.

Mike - I can't get it to work, at one point everything was working, then radio died/volume stuck where it was left. Next problem is it now doesn't play anything - so i'd say no, it doesn't work.

Johno - that'd be great, please let me know, thanks.

All sorted, thanks guys. Ended up taking the headunit out (by pure chance I managed to separate that from the holder thing) and saw what you guys meant.

Cheers.
