A few Electrical problems

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have found a few electrical problems with my e30 lately.

My dash dosnt light up when the headlights are switched on and my central locking is playing up.

Note, i have cheaked all fuses, etc

CENTRAL LOCKING

All but one door locks when i turn the key, this happens to be the drivers one!

Although when doors are locked (and unlocked) from the inside all are functional, wtf?

DASH LIGHTS

The Backlights of the instrument cluster dont light up, i have checked the fuse for it and its sweet.

all other lights operate when the headlights lights are turned on (clock, Stock radio, and heater), except for the instruments.

Appreciate any help. :D

I found this, Not sure if it applys to me.

seems this guy had no doors locking at all, but i have three that work.

although he says that "I couldn’t even lock the driver’s door with the key"

which is my problem.

any ideas?
