Nobimmer 694 Report post Posted June 28, 2009 A mate of mine owns Acryform- a perspex mouldng company and is currently making up a dummy fit sunroof panel for my E30. Just wondering if anyone else wants one, will get the pricing on Tuesday and will put pics up of fitment etc when I get it on. He can obviously do all other parts out of perspex and polycarbonate. Let me know if anyone's keen and can work something out. Cheers Ashkan

Nobimmer 694 Report post Posted June 28, 2009 Just remembered, he was going to do one for Chris when he had ED1RTY, and that was with an adjusting sunroof, not glued in. Just needs new seal and walah-moon roof.

Nobimmer 694 Report post Posted June 29, 2009 So the price for a 7mm Polycarbonate sunroof panel will be $311 delivered. Will put pics up after he does mine to show you how good his work is.
Nobimmer 694 Report post Posted June 29, 2009 Moe-Yes you can buy the plastic and cut it yourself, I'd imagine it would need a bend to fit properly though? Otherwise he can thermomould them if you have another bit of glass.
|ncary 0 Report post Posted June 30, 2009 Hmm. I'm looking at under 200 for a fi-glass cap to be made locally.. Perspex would be awesome though!
Nobimmer 694 Report post Posted June 30, 2009 ^^its poly carb, different to your normal perspex you see in sub boxes etc. It's lighter and doesn't smash/shatter so would be safer. Hence the price. Also, the sunroof panel (apparently- just going by what I've been told) is bent on two apex's making it hard to bend.
|ncary 0 Report post Posted June 30, 2009 Yeah it's double thickness. 2 layers of sheet metal. Quite a beast. I'll keep you in mind. Duct tape is doing a fine job at the moment ahaa.
Nobimmer 694 Report post Posted June 30, 2009 Haha yeah ditto. Doesn't work too well after 100k's though. Can just send you a piece of what I might be able to find left over if you wanna have a play with it.
