Shady 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2009 Would these seats fit in my E30 '88 4dr (as per my profile photo)? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-230647163.htm Would it be ideal to swap my original runners onto these or...? Just after opinions etc. Thanks
tire 10 Report post Posted July 18, 2009 Cool, not dissimilar to e21 recaros.
Shady 0 Report post Posted July 18, 2009 those look mad as. So maybe just buy them and see if they bolt in?
CamB 48 Report post Posted July 18, 2009 (edited) They are from a Daihatsu Charade de Tomaso. I had a set in my old civic. They are pretty comfortable, but the fabrics not **that** durable (ie you have to treat them nice). They are a pretty standard Recaro basically - I am pretty sure they need recaro rails and a recaro rails to e30 adapter you can buy them - $$$ (ie, they don't just bolt in). Alternative is to get e30 rails modified to fit these (Recaro seats have a simple mounting system - 4 bolts in the corner of the seat). Shady 0 Report post Posted July 18, 2009 So I cant bolt my original runners off my crappy original seat on to them?
Nobimmer 694 Report post Posted July 18, 2009 No- You will have to make a bracket to adapt them. There is a writeup on here somewhere on how to retrofit Evo recaros onto E30 rails.
