Shady 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2009 Ummm this is pretty stupid really. have had my car towed twice now, and 1st time I couldnt find the front tow hook (me nor my mate could find it) so we wrapped the rope around the front arm (yes dodgy, but no other choice!) that was when my gearbox packed it in and 2nd time was when I smashed my sump, no other choice but to wrap it arund the front arm. So my question, would anybody know why the hell my E30 aint got no front tow hook? I cant see it anywhere, no holes for it to poke thru, nothing under the front bumper, nothing hidden - like seriously...what!? I've seen photos of other E30s that have hooks in the front but mine doesnt. Where are they "usually" located - maybe its literally hidden away or me & my mates are BLIND? 3series 0 Report post Posted July 18, 2009 (edited) pop out hte little tab on the drivers side of the number plate on the front bumper. You should find your tow hook in your tool kit in the boot or your glovebox if its been removed. Just screws in to the bumper strut. Nothing in my boot toolkit. Guess I need to go buy one off someone...any one got one for sale? Have justed popped that cap off and the bolt the hook screws into looks a bit rusty.
