Jeez man! I cannot wait to see what you do to your new E30.

I have absolutely no doubt it will live up to the CRZARB reputation. B)

Good things take TIME ok!

And yeh, cheers Nick. Problem is, I have fallen in love with the look so much already I am a bit concerned there is not much left to do...

Tech-II's really are set up well with regards to the exterior.

Noooo way  It's an E30 right?

Brakes, brakes brakes

Standard brakes are a bit on the terrifying side no? Especially coming from an E36 M3?

I reckon, get rid of indicator orange and that's really all you need to do to the exterior of a mtechII e30 :) Maybe a cheeky little 325iS-style front splitter?

oh right sweet man yeh some reciepts would be much appreciated ill send you a pm with my email address, im not sure of the guys name my father bought it while i was overseas from a guy in wellington.

ive had it since october 06 roughly since then ive only done cambelt a few services and more recently a new clutch gearbox mounts driveshaft coupling etc all done by glenn at botany motor worx, ive only done about 8-10000 kms since owning it due to haveing another car (and i dont like getting it dirty haha)

did u put the bridgestone potenzas on there, ive replaced 2 but they are pretty hard to track down?

Yes i put the potenza's on grid 3's, i dont think they make them any more.

Everything was brand new on that car, new sunroof, front seats, cross spokes all from Shelly Bmw ( jeff gray ) new shocks, gear knob, leather gaitor etc etc.

Great motor, what are the km's now?

oh right, i no theres some of those tyres still around ive just not had a chance to get my hands on any more, i take it you bought four new rims as theres an odd one out im guessing it was the best of the old ones, yeh its a very tidy car its done 209 ks now from memory the motor runs better and better at some stage someones fitted a short shift kit on the gearbox which makes it a dream to drive it just changes effortlessly

Yes i had the short shift fitted, from a Z3.

I am glad the car is going well, i have also owned a 318is and prefer the 325 as a car.

There are a few good motorsports still around, one in wellington with only 48 000 km from new sitting in storage a beautiful black car. That might be my next e30 if i can get off the owner. He might be tempted.

Spot on bud, I have your ex car :)

Previous owner has done wonders restoring it / maintaining it (I will post up some decent photos in the weekend hopefully).

p.s. Can't believe it's STILL got the original plate it came with new...

I feel kinda bad changing it to CRZARB now.

Hurry up with the pics Atta. Posting pics of mods before the actual car (after it came into your ownership) is not acceptable! Looks like a sharp buy, Lachsilber is such a good colour for the E30s.

Wouldn't say luck. More like good taste. Add a pre-facelift to your repritour before you kick the bucket Mr 89.

Guest Ari Gold

This thread brings so many memories!

I remember when I was hunting for my E30 all these came up for sale!

I remember seeing OG845 on the motorway and drooling. Can't believe its made it all the way to chch.

Anyone on here own the red M325i that was for sale for 15995 at team mcmillan in around 2004? I remember going and taking it for a drive, still one of the best E30's i've ever driven. One owner, full BMW service history, bastards wouldn't take a part trade on an 89 jaguar sovereign :D
