hotwire 352 Report post Posted July 29, 2009 Done one. Bit of dicking around but straight forward. Get the WHOLE electric mechanism inc relay & wiring. Earth connects to bolt up at motor, power wire runs down L/H pillar & connects to a pre wired plug behind glovebox
bmw_guy 0 Report post Posted July 29, 2009 is there anything on the net? with diagrams
hotwire 352 Report post Posted July 29, 2009 Don't know - haven't looked but it is pretty self explanitory with the parts in your hand - just somewhat fiddly

Nobimmer 694 Report post Posted July 29, 2009 It's mechanical. Got nothing to do with wiring. Just the same as when you crank your winder uper.

Hartage 0 Report post Posted July 29, 2009 Done two, no real issues, you do nedd every thing, including the tin plate that the electric motor is mounted on, needs a drill to remove the roll over rivet, then as said before its follow the way it comes out of donor car. 320guy 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2009 If you are pulling it off a car it is pretty easy to see how it works and how it comes apart. So it should be just as easy putting it in another car.
