bmw_guy 0 Report post Posted July 31, 2009 The metal plate that came with the new motor does not fir my current setup?
bmw_guy 0 Report post Posted July 31, 2009 Gave up on it for tonight, Its the metal black plate thats the mish, mounting the motor onto it and fitting it. Without the plate, just by holding it there it works, opening and closing. So at least i could see it working haha
isis 16 Report post Posted July 31, 2009 where did you run your wires to?
bmw_guy 0 Report post Posted July 31, 2009 the wires run to a plug behind the glove box, but im not really at that stage yet
Hartage 0 Report post Posted July 31, 2009 You have to swap the black plates over, drill the copper coloured "rings" that hold it up. There are also 4 ( i think ) screws that are hidden in the foam padding.
bmw_guy 0 Report post Posted August 1, 2009 Yer i know, but the new copper plate is different shaped than my manual one, hard to explain so does not fit

bmw_guy 0 Report post Posted August 2, 2009 Ok so its in and done, bit of a mish, had to get SIR E30 (Jason) to help. The only problem now is the timing is out and keeps changing, that is where it clicks. So it clicks in random places when opening it. Also when closing it it becomes super slow like it does not have enough power. This only happened when i screwed back in that black peice which stops the wind noise. So not to sure? Thanks Jason for the help
