i need help with my e30 gearbox.... please!

hmm i decided to tackle taking my gearbox out of my 320i e30... and well hit a snag... i need torque sockets? lol is there anyone in the auckland area that is willing to give me a hand? or willing to hire out a set of torque sockets? i need my e30 on the rd! ahah

any one out there? Please?

repco /supercheap etc sell torx socket sets .

power built etc .

also get yourself a 60-80cm extension to get at the top bolts around teh bellhousing.

the bolts are so tight that it slips.. the bolts from tyhe bell housing to the engine block

Ah, Really

Thought you might have been talking about the inspection plate, mine had small torx sockets on those. Only torx head bolts on my entire car afaik... My bolts from gearbox to the motor are 19mm bolts.

Some cars have Torx for box (apart from 19mm bolts), some have standard bolts right round bell housing -except inspection plate

....And really old ones like mine (1983) have normal bolts all round.
