E30-323ti 66 Report post Posted December 11, 2004 Well, The E30 is back on the road in time for summer. For those of you that don't know, the car was off the road for 9mths, in that time it has received a E36 5lug conversion, including new Koni shocks (front coilovers), Further front brake upgrade (996 Porsche Brembos) thanks alot to Ian (hartage) for his help, new polyurethane bushes (trailing arms, rear subframe & control arms), new 17x8" wheels with 225/45's front & 245/40's rear (yes it is a squeeze) and diff ratio change, 3.46 to 3.91, to suit the new tyre sizing. And thanks also to Sam (E34-535ti) for his help (in general). A wheel alignment was done this morning, everything was within check except the front camber(+0.5d). So I'll be ording some adjustable strut tops on monday to remedy that. Other than that it is going very well, and handles awesomely (LOL, even with positive camber). Still has traction issues in 1st & 2nd in the dry. Here is a pic in it's current state: (I realised when I got home the camera was set on the crap setting)

E30-323ti 66 Report post Posted December 11, 2004 go the advanti aztec-xWheel choice is pretty slim when you are trying to fit them over porsche 4pots.I had some BBS's but sold them to my sister as they wouldn't fit. Andrew: No rubbage at al on the front, rears are rolled but the tyre still rubs up in the guard, rear springs are still too soft and it rubs when it squats under acceleration, just right on the edge. Those bushes are fantastic, drives like it's on rails!! esp. compared to how it was before (rear wheels steering under acceleration). I'll get all the info on the 5lug swap together shortly. BMW POWER 2 Report post Posted December 14, 2004 Intercoolers always remind me of monsters- Big grill like things with pipes sticking out of it - come to think of it reminds me of a Just Juice carton with a straw coming out - ABSOLUTELY NO OFFENCE it looks mean as, i'd be scared if i was a cat on the road and saw that coming towards me i'd run like hell and leave a nice brown pile in the middle of the road - NICE CAR - Like the rims too and those brakes are huge.
