j.sorensen 0 Report post Posted August 22, 2009 in May '08 my mother bought a new car and proceeded to leave our 1997 E36 323ia se with 194k on the clock, in the drive not doing much at all. after starting it regularly to keep it alive, a couple of months later it wouldn't start, turning over but not catching. then the electrics died and turning the key got no response at all, no radio, no computer, no starter motor. it has since been sitting on the drive with several attempts by various people to start it using jumper packs, different batteries and finally a new battery! all to no avail any ideas as to how to get it going? i have heard it may be that the car has immoblised itself but i'm skeptical of that one. any help would be greatly appreciated!! Cheers guys
