Andrew 30 Report post Posted September 8, 2009 So far the Mini Coupe Concept has gathered a positive reaction from those who have seen the pictures prior to the actual unveiling scheduled for the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. We’ve also seen a fuzzy spy shot of the Mini Roadster Concept that will debut alongside the coupe. We reported last week that BMW plans to put the Mini Coupe into production within two to three years. Well, according to sources that spoke with BBC, a production version of the Coupe along with the Mini Roadster is more than certain. Sources told BBC that BMW will add 1,000 jobs at its Oxfordshire plant to build two new models for the Mini brand. Separately, Jim McDowell, Mini USA president told Automotive News that the Mini Coupe concept has received positively so far. “We think we have a good idea, and we want to get people’s reaction to it,†said McDowell. “If there is a great response, as I predict there will be, I think you will see it going into production.†
