Removing E30 Parcel Tray

Recommended Posts

Can someone lead me in the right direction to how to remove the cover of the parcel tray in a FL E30 Sedan? Took my back seat out, but cant see how I remove the material covering, without ripping it. I want to remove it so I can recover it & also custom mould some 6x9 spacers into it. I wont be touching the metal part.

I done a search on here & google, but found nothing relevant...?

Cheers

Hmm, Haven't done that in a while but it just lifts up and pulls out doesn't it?

The top part? Thats what I thought, just wasnt too keen to find out the hard way & have be a torn cover lol. Will have another go tomorrow...unless someone does know for sure?

Oh and those plastic bits that the belts feed in & out of, if I remember rightly, they are holding it down?...hope they pop out without breaking?

you have to undo the seatbelt bolts on the side belts, the bolt at the bottom so you can feed it back through the hole, and the plastic covers for the belts, then just manover (sp) it out from there

Damn it. Today went so fast! Went for a trip to Tauranga with my brother to pick up a part for his boat, got home, changed my wheels for photos as per my other thread and its already ticking over near 630. Crap...didnt even get a chance to look at my parcel tray. Oh well, maybe during the week.

But Cheers though guys, much appreciated - saved me possibly breaking s--t.
