clintonr 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2009 How hard is it changing an airbag e36 steering wheel? I'm a bit weary of doin it myself and having the airbag go off in my face. Is it quite easy or should I take it somewhere to have it done?
*Glenn* 854 Report post Posted October 13, 2009 (edited) Disconnect the battery fo 5 minutes first. And dont lay the airbag facing down. Sit in out of the way after you have removed it facing up. Do not turn your ignition on while the airbag is removed or you'll have to get someone to reset the airbag warning light. What do you need to do this for ? are you putting a different wheel on the car ? We can do it for you if you like.
