gjgregory 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2009 Hi all. I'm in the process of replacing all the control arms, bushings, etc, in my 740, starting with the rear. Have replaced both control arms but am stuck when it comes to removing the ball joint in the , which are completely stuffed (a bit of a surprise really because everything else is not too bad). I'm trying to find some stuff to make a tool, but does anyone have the bmw tool to remove them, or something similar? Would really like to borrow it for a day if possible. See Tool A in this link to see what I need: http://www.bimmerboard.com/forums/posts/50230 Thanks in advance! Gavin
*Glenn* 854 Report post Posted October 17, 2009 Yes you do need special tools. If you dont do it correctly you can damage the alluminium carrier. We can do it for you... sorry I dont lend out our specialist tools

I'm not far away so I'll see how I go. Cheers,
