No Dash - keeps blowning number 6 fuse

Car: e28 528i with M30be35 e34 engine

Hi guys

more a electircal fault but we all know no-one really looks in there, i have recently removed the start reley for my auto, car starts fine, but i am having a major concern.

that each time i set the key the the run position, and disable my Alarm i blow my Fuse number 6, car still starts no dash except for battery light.

so im figuring i have a short somewhere - thinking its the main Green/White wire from the fuse box, i did a check and with car on and alarm off and no fuse i am still getting 12v between the connectors which i was told means that somewhere the car is grounding itself.

does this sound about right, any ideas for tracking the fault back.
