Guest Andrew Report post Posted November 29, 2003 Well.. I decided to do my oil change. I'll skip all the normal bits. THE DAMN OIL FILTER. WHY WHY do I have it in a completely different position from everyone else and WHY is it done up to like 1010101010 Nm .. It was the same with my spark plugs.. done up SO tight. Now you'll all probably tell me its really easy to get it off.. but its in a different position to all of your cars (cept any South African BMW dudes). Guest Andrew Report post Posted November 30, 2003 Well i let the dad at it. We got a BIG adjustable spanner (I HATE THOSE TOOLS). And unbolted the banjo bolt from the block. He proceded to tear off the oil filter. THE RUBBER GASKET was holding on the oil filter!.. Man was I annoyed.. can't people just oil the gasket like your meant to before putting it on.
