Kaz 64 Report post Posted December 2, 2009 Got me some seats upstairs, 2 rows from the front and almost centre You wouldn't have been too far away from me then. Amazing band, amazing show. Almost worth waiting 20+ years for them to come
e30ftw 410 Report post Posted December 2, 2009 Machine head is pretty sweet. Just started listening to them this morning. One of the guitarists from slipknot plays in it.
Wom 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2009 the last Machine Head album I listened to (and still do) was the Burning Red fantastic album but I haven't really kept up with their later stuff ... are they still as awesome as they were back in Burning Red days? ps. Slayer is awesome cranking loud while going down the motorway in the middle of the night

But that album is frggin sweet.was just reading wikipedia on the Blackening album ... says they toured in early 2007 to promote the album with Lamb of God, Trivium and Gojira .... that would've been one sweet concert to go to! Kaz 64 Report post Posted December 15, 2009 (edited) Machine head is pretty sweet. Just started listening to them this morning. One of the guitarists from slipknot plays in it. No they all have different guitarists, but yeah, Machine head are good I saw them when they came to NZ with slipknot not too long ago. Imperium and The Blood, The Sweat, The Tears are my favourite from them. Pirate Metal yo' Haha Alestorm is awesome. How about some folk metal from Korpiklaani? Grant 4 Report post Posted December 16, 2009 I saw Machine Head live last week. They opened for Metallica. I didn't think much of them, but then I was pretty much unfamilar with them beforehand and justed wanted them to get it over and done with so that Metallica could do their thing. Metallica was good fun though, they know how to put on a good show.
Wom 0 Report post Posted December 16, 2009 I really like Metallica's latest album, been cranking it a fair bit recently Also have been cranking out Sepultura's latest album A-Lex if you get the chance to listen to it, check out the song Sadistic Values ... some heavy stuff right there
e30ftw 410 Report post Posted December 16, 2009 Not a fan of the latest Sepultura. Sounds different as. Not even heavy much IMO.
Wom 0 Report post Posted December 16, 2009 it seems that they have tried to be quite experimental with their sounds tends to chop from melodic tunes to heavy and back again I reckon it's a lot better than some of their other later albums ... but I doubt they'll ever be able to put out another Roots or Chaos AD
