Markq 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2005 I have brought a Draper reset tool. I have done the Oil Service on the car, plug the tool in and hey presto................It didn't work. And yes, I followed the instructions and the lights on the tool did as they should. I am puzzled, could something be wrong with the car? any ideas???? BMA 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2005 i used a piece of old copper wire from line a phone or even a pin will do connect pin 7 to 19 and turn the ignition into ON position, dont start the car If u wanna be on a safe side, use a wire with a fuse in case something goes wrong its really easy
Carl 3 Report post Posted January 13, 2005 (edited) Just make sure you connect the right pins, the motronic and jetronic have different pin arrays. I have a piece of highly crafted intertwined copper threading shielded with a rubber coating that I use for the job, it sits in my boot purely for the servicing.
