E30 lowering questions

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys just have a couple of questions for people on here running low e30s

Are there any issues with looms or wheel tubs etc... getting in the way once you get the car to a low ride height? I was runninng my 180sx with about 55mm clearance from the front crossmember to the ground and had to do a loom relocation to avoid the tyres cutting through it and also had to run a lower profile tyre up front to stop the wheels from fouling on the tubs.

Any help you could give would be much appreciated

Thanks

John

Also, you might want to get either Treehouse rear adjustment or similar to avoid the negative changes in geo in the rear.

^ Do you know how low it is Jon before you totally muck up the rear geometry in a E30? Thoughts being maybe thats why my car still feels weird in the rear.

Yea Jon I had thought about the geometry problems as I had a similar situation with the rear of the 180 haha

Can you source adjustable camber, toe, traction arms for e30s?

Your stuck with the sh*t geometry at the end of the day. There is a kit that has offset trailing arm bushes but that does stuff all from what i've heard. It depends if you want a slammed car or a car that handles well?

A bit of both would be nice. You need a good set of shocks to match your springs.. Edited by E30ONP

Just put my rear eccentric toe\camber bolts in recently, heaps more grip with toe gone. If i did it again i would of lengthened camber slots more adjustment as still got -2deg on right and -1.5 on left but huge toe out i had is gone and thats main reason i did them.
