Buy a full driveshaft IMO.. Mixing halves isn't too great of an idea.

2nd/ 3rd ? hanger bearing in 3 or so months. iirc.

Stuffed u-joints will prematurely destroy center hanger bearings.

When I refitted the guibo wrong when I did the first round of mods to the car, I am pretty sure I have caused some damage to the U joints which broke hanger mount #1, fitting a replacement (which has now broken) has lead me to believe my driveshaft joints are rooted.

And cheers Grant, I can only live in hope...or replace the standardised rear half and hope it improves my situation. Will take it out tmoro and see if I can work out which end is buggered.

^ I thought the universals on a e30 driveshaft were sealed for life and not replaceable? Correct me if I am wrong.

Au contraire: http://www.bimmerboard.com/forums/posts/188454 maybe purchasing replacement u joints and taking it to a driveshaft specialist to be replaced and re balanced is the way to go?
