He means rockers i think. It could be the injectors If its a rumble it could be the gearbox berings or release bearing.

The E30 tick isn't that bad, just means you have to adjust the whatever you adjust, I thaught they were tappets.

Mine had that god awful tick too. use it as a point to get the car for less.
