E36 suspension advice?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

I got some cheap King Spings 2nd hand for the front of my 328i however once installed the car sits too low (illegal and not practical). Any recommendations? I saw a set of m3 springs on trademe...would they result in a drop from the 328 standard? How about coilovers?

Thanks

Coilovers if you want to spend the money on cert etc, or shocks + springs. Make sure you do your shocks too.

M 3 springs won't fit in a 328 and most coil overs are fashion items

What would you recommend then?

I'd recommend you talk to Keith at H&R Ph. 021378902 and get the right H&R or Vogtland springs to suit your car.

He is a sponsor here (SUSPENSION)....don't PM him.... ring him

H&R or simmilar good springs and My preference is Koni Sport adjustables

E36s are a pain to lower at the front aye. Low chassis rails make it very easy to become illegal before the car even appears lowered, I have been having endless problems. I'm after a set of low front springs if you want to sell them

that would probably explain why my car scrapes on most driveways (including my own :() even though it hasn't been lowered

Yeah I get that a bit, It also scrapes the inside guards and its standard height.

that is probably more to do with the tyre size and wheel offset rather than anything suspension wise if they both still have factory suspension.
