Nobimmer 694 Report post Posted November 26, 2009 Just about to start wiring the dash up and need to know what a few wires do. 1.Ignition, IIRC it is the thick green one with yellow stripe. 2. Fuel pump, well basicly need to know what wire I can put a switch between to turn it on and off ( it runs off a relay on the master kill switch). Also, does anyone have a wiring diagram for the ECU? I need to know what pin is the speed input for my electronic speedo. Any help would be mint Cheers Ashkan
antil33t 90 Report post Posted November 26, 2009 http://www.e21bmw.net/tech/motronic.php That's them converting it to work in an E21. Apparently it's pin 29, Black/White. ECU doesn't seem to be in the wiring diagrams I have.

It shouldn't matter which wire you use, Either way you are going to be open / closing the circuit by adding a switch in there. Pinouts for motronic connector: http://www.deskbreaker.com/wiglaf/e30/motr...s%20harness.xls Pin 29 is the Speed.
Nobimmer 694 Report post Posted November 27, 2009 Cheers for that. Would still be keen to find out what wire is for the fuel pump. Have read somewhere that it can still run for a few seconds from the battery. It is for a master kill.
e30ftw 410 Report post Posted November 27, 2009 Could be the pin #3 ? So when ECU comes on, it powers up the fuel pump relay to turn on the pump..
