E30 Driveshaft Centering Sleeve Removal?

So I managed to destroy the little rubber bush with the metal ring on the front of my driveshaft.

Ordered a new one from Gavin, has anyone replaced this before?

I can't seem to work out how to remove it before I get a chisel, BFH etc

Help?

Jam the tip that protrudes of it in a vice then tighten the vice and it'll bend it and twist your shaft til it comes out.

All sorted and swapped old for new. The metal ring snapped in the vice, but a drill bit can cut a slot in the ring since it is really soft metal. Thanks John.

Oh didn't realize it would probably be cast piece and crack lol. Oh well. Welcome anyways
