1996 E36 Spinning Lock - Ignition problem - Please Help!

My ignition did the spin and had to remove 2 relays to turn off my car

searching the net I found a fix on youtube, but much to my disappointment a moving tiny lug that turns the ignition off has broken inside the barrel

I have EWS sensor and a chip in the key

is it possible to replace that mechanism?

if I get another ignition barrel, can I change the key over? maybe swapping the chip inside the key is good enough for me as I am looking for a cheap fix.

Anyone help, fix or sell me something to resolve my dilemma?

My car is a December 1995 318i - its needing a WOF and this is probably holding me back
