will buy whichever one is offered first...

There are two gearboxes you can use (240 and 260) - each has a different length driveshaft. Make sure you get matching driveshaft and box.

no they are different boxes and driveshafts are different lengths

if we are talking about the m20

240 was assigned to 320i

260 was assigned to 325i

both will bolt up to the m20, however you need matching gearbox drive shaft

note: 318 used a variant of the 240, this one differs to the m20 as the bell housing is slightly offset , if bolted to the m20 will create an issue lining up the shift linkage

alrighty well i have a 240 gearbox n just bought a 325 driveshaft thinking it would bolt up but obviously not

so either looking for a 260 gearbox or a 320 driveshaft both have to be manual tho

someone point me in the right direction!
