Changed the intake boot and Hoses etc (e30)

But now the cars not running well over 4000rpm under heavy acceleration, it hesitates and feels like its losing power.

Its idling fine and running fine at low engine speeds (better then before).

What have I done? lol

This will sound stupid, i put some fuel in it and now its fine..

It was down between emtpy and 1/4 a tank.. so should have been fine..

could this be fuel pump related? maybe fuel filter?

You might have had some crap stuck in the injectors after running the tank low

it could be a blocked fuel filter, I doubt it would be a pump problem. Does your car have 1 or 2 pumps?

It sounds to me like either the mesh on the pump pickup is blocked up or you were sucking up just enough air to not allow enough pressure to build to deliver fuel at high rpm.
