kingkarl 136 Report post Posted March 4, 2010 My life has been dominated with drink drivers. My grand parents were killed by a drink driver with my mother and uncle in the back seat.. my mother was 12. They were covered by organs, blood and body parts and the scars of that reflect the attitude my mother has to driving and youth. My mothers brother (my uncle) was then killed by a predominant horse trainer in Hamilton who was also drunk in charge. I've also lost 3 freinds throughout my life due to alchohol. One driving and the others being victims of arseholes fueled with alchohol. One was brother on brother and my friend died. Zero tolerance is a must You're kidding right? pureboiracer 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2010 mr loose e36. if driving with just a few drinks or just a few ks over the limit do you think the police and land transport would invest $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ in advertising campaigns trying to stop people doing it? do you think they have nothing does someone sit in a chair and think "....now lets see.... how can we waste millions of dollars this year?....I know, we can waste it on pointless advertising." It is blatent that even a couple of drinks makes you a hazard on the road. If it didnt then we would not have such a high road death rate caused by drink driving and alcahol limits wouldnt be what they are. From my observation you are the exact crowed all those millions of $ of advertising is aimed at, now loose the arrogance and listen to what they tell you..... Oh no, of course I would not be so daft as to believe the government would waste millions of dollars, and I have noticed the spectacular results with the road toll. You have all turned this into a witch hunt, I never advocated drink driving, just said I was sick of hearing the "message" and think that in general the dangers are exaggerated. I still think this, and no fallacious arguments or moral outrage will change my mind. The comment "drink drivers should be shot" passed without disagreement, one idiot even agreed! This shows the level of thinking in this forum. Yet me saying I am sick of being told what to do has turned into "drink driving is good," with all the fools lining up to insult me. Marvellous. pjay 8 Report post Posted March 4, 2010 loose36 this is not a witch hunt. You think the campaigns are not necessary and obviously others think that they are. Don't make this about yourself.
