Ben 0 Report post Posted March 14, 2010 Does anyone know if E30 rear shocks are shorter than E36 ones? My E36 Bilsteins are 585mm from centre of lower mount to the end of the shaft were they taper for the thread. If anyone has some E30 rear shocks they can measure for comparison it would be much appreciated. Cheers
Nobimmer 694 Report post Posted March 15, 2010 If you have no luck, get them shortened mate it's piss easy. Any engineer with opposable thumbs and a welder should be able to do it. If you are in auckland, I can put you onto someone.
Ben 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2010 Yea I was hoping someone would know as it could be a possible alternative to shortening shocks for the E36 platform. Im going to get new springs soon but my current springs require shorter shocks and I dont want to butcher my bilsteins if I can avoid it. Is there anyone in the Hutt Valley with a spare pair that I could measure?
