random gauge lights?

duno whats going on but its happened 3 times, the gauges all drop to zero thenthe lights light up like youve just started the car...and then it resumes to reading the speed etc like nothing happened???

anyone had this before?

and also theres a damn annoying rattle on the e36 sounds like its coming from the back ?when you brake you dont hear it but just going over a slightly bumpy road it sounds like those stone gaurds for the breaks but i checkec them and theyre secure

any ideas???

Not the pads rattling in the calipers is it?

yea found the problem after posting haha but still dont have a clue whats causing the random gauge bug

revs and speed and temp and oil drop then service lights come on all the normal park break oil battery etc and then its sweet

like im switching the car off and then starting it again while driving???

nope its sweet except for the damn gauges haha
