strange rattling noise!?

not from the engine bay so it cant be vanos

when i drive over bumps i can hear its coming from the back i think??

any ideas or someone had this issue on an e36 before??

My rear brake pads are the wrong size, so they rattle when I go over bumps. I first thought rear shock mounts, until I figured out it was the pads. Shock mounts are more of a thump apparently...

Would recommend getting under the car and looking for wear or loose bits.

Yep, i have the same rattle <_< mainly when i drive over light bumps...will check the shock mounts when i have some time!

FOUND IT!!!! yes!!! just so you know it was the brake pads...theres a 3 prong fitting that clips into the plunger on the brakes and it did not have any clip on it so if you wernt braking it would rattle against the disc

Thats quite common with aftermarket pads... thats why we wont supply & fit them
