Wellington Street Races - your design?

Was mucking around earlier on so i decided to come up with ideas for a revival track of the 1980's Wellington Street Races. I came up with a track on mapmyrun.com. It's just a bit of fun and I haven't taken into account logistics etc.

Start/End: Jervios Quay (Opp. Frank Kits Park)

My idea is cool, yet unrealistic. Due to The Terrace being pretty damn narrow at some points.

Has a bit of everything, including

- a hill climb / drifting part up Roroa Road

- a nice long ( loud ) straight directly outside the Prime Ministers residence on Glenmore Street.

- Great views from my parents place as well, which would come in handy for me.

- A possible improvement could be replacing the Terrace with the end of the Wellington Motorway, which would make the track have too long straights.

If it was logistically possible to use the motorway. some very cool long straights and the noise in the tunnel would be so cool!!!

straight down Featherston street and dont forget to add Herd street. Forget Lambton quay too many traffic islands and skinny by Featherston st/Willis st end. At least thats what I think. Been a while since Ive been home to Welly town

Oh, indeed it will never happen, the logistics dictate that - too skinny/bumpy in places, bitching shop owners etc.

But if I were the boss of all things awesome? then hell yeah lambton quay would feature in a wellington street race!
